We did our first Six Degrees of Separation Quiz for the December 2017/January 2018 after my son Christian gave me the idea for this quiz. He was listening to a podcast and the hosts were playing 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon. After exhausting our vast knowledge of Kevin Bacon films, we spent part of the evening connecting other actors to one another through movies and their co-stars.
If you’ve never played before, the game is based on the theory that any two people on Earth are six or fewer acquaintance links apart. For this quiz, actors and authors of banned books have to be connected to other actors or authors through movies, other actors and authors, and banned books.
Here is an example:
Oprah Winfrey and Halle Berry
Oprah Winfrey was the executive producer of the television movie Their Eyes were Watching God based on the book by the same name written by Zora Neale Hurston which starred Halle Berry.
[Their Eyes were Watching God was challenged for language and sexual explicitness]
The answers will be posted at the end of this issue in Next Month in This Awful Awesome Life (October 2018), https://www.thisawfulawesomelife.com/home/2018/9/9/next-month-in-this-awful-awesome-life-october-2018
It’s possible you may have different answers, as long as the connections include banned books and authors who have been banned and you get there in six or less moves.
Have fun!
