A Book Review by Frances Joyce: One, Two, He is Coming for You by Willow Rose

In honor of Halloween, I considered reviewing a classic horror novel such as Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Frankenstein: or The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley, anything by Edgar Allen Poe, or a Stephen King novel. I’m not sure why One, Two, He is Coming for You by Willow Rose caught my eye, but I’m glad it did.

Willow Rose is originally from Denmark, but now resides on the east coast of Florida with her husband and two daughters where she surfs and watches dolphins when she’s not writing. She is known as the Queen of Scream. Rose is a #1 Amazon Best Selling Author and an Amazon All Star Author of over 40 novels that have sold over two million copies.

She writes fiction in the following genres: horror, mystery/suspense, paranormal romance, and fantasy. One, Two, He is Coming for You is the first in the Rebekah Franck Series about a Danish journalist (Rebecca Franck) who leaves a fast paced career and an abusive marriage and returns to her hometown, Karrebaeksminde to build a new life for herself and her six-year old daughter with help from her father and her eccentric photographer, Sune.

The peaceful village of her childhood is rocked by the grisly murder of one of its wealthiest citizens. As Franck chases the story, murders begin to pile up and she’s convinced Denmark is seeing its first serial killer.

Though not technically a horror story, the killer terrorizes his victims, all former classmates at an elite prep school, before their deaths. Is he/she a ghost from their past or one of the many victims they tormented without mercy? So many suspects…so little time. Can Franck identify the killer before she becomes a victim?

I read this book in about one day and the ending did not disappoint. Rose graciously included the first few chapters of Hit the Road Jack, the first novel in her new Jack Ryder series at the end the book. I ended up going to amazon.com and buying the e-book because I wanted to know what happened next.

Willow Rose’s books are fast paced fun reads. They are the perfect vehicles for a quick escape from natural disasters and political bickering.

It is worth noting that there are some minor grammatical errors in her books to remind you that English is a second language for the author. These should have been corrected in the editing phase, but they did not take away from my enjoyment of the books.

After visiting her webpage, willow-rose.net, I joined her VIP mailing list. I’ve received offers for free Willow Rose books and deeply discounted titles of some of selected works as well as some interesting updates from the author.

To view her full catalog of work, go to amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, or willow-rose.net. Willow Rose’s latest novel, The Surge, is now available.
